What does it mean to be righteous? The Scriptures tell us that the “righteous” will inherit the Earth. This teaching explains that righteousness is something that each of us “does”. What is it? Why do we need it? How do we get it?
Rabbi Steve Berkson explains righteousness straight from the Scriptures in these two short video series:
- MTOI: The Pursuit of Righteousness, 3 parts
- MTOI: If You Diligently Obey, 6 parts
The righteous shall inherit the land and dwell upon it forever. Psalms 37:29
And it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to do all this commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us. Deuteronomy 6:25
The Lord rewards every man for his righteousness and his faithfulness. I Samuel 26:23
And he believed the Lord, and he counted it to him as righteousness. (Genesis 15:6) And in your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. (Genesis 26:5)
(Videos are produced by Rabbi Steve Berkson of Messianic Torah Observant Israel (MTOI, mtoi.org). I am not affiliated with MTOI in any way. I have found his teachings to be true to the Bible and I desire to share what I have learned with others.)
